The 'Markets' feature of Insurance WebPortal.com allows a retail insurance agent or broker to search for insurance markets to meet the needs of their customers. A market may be a General Agent/MGA, wholesaler, underwriter, program manager or carrier that offers one or more specialized coverages for the type of risk that your customer represents.

To search for a market, you start by entering your specifications under 'FIND A MARKET'. A listing of organizations with one or more coverages meeting your criteria appears in the left column below, with links to company detail and the company's website. Each listing includes contact information [location, phone] and up to two lines of company description. Clicking on 'Company Detail' displays a more complete description of that company in the right column along with address, phone, fax, website, company type and license information (states licensed to do business).

Below the company information in the right column are 'Coverages meeting your search criteria'. Each coverage will display a '+' icon, and clicking on the icon will open up a detailed description of that coverage immediately below the heading.

Below 'Coverages meeting your search criteria' are 'Other coverages'. A '+' icon beside each coverage allows you to click to view additional information about that coverage.

Placing a listing

Listings are free for wholesalers and carriers, for up to five insurance products or coverages. Premium listings are available for a nominal monthly charge, as are listings for additional insurance products beyond the five included at no charge. If you sign up now for any optional features on your insurance markets listing, you will receive those same features during the pre-release period without charge.

Invitations have been sent via e-mail and postal mail to the carriers and wholesalers in our internal database, with instructions for placing a listing. If you have not received an invitation, you may sign up by visiting:
